The Aarhus Centre Novi Sad supports and promotes the implementation of the Aarhus Convention in Northern Serbia.
The Centre helps government authorities fulfil their obligations by promoting appropriate legislation and practices targeting access to information, public participation and access to justice in environmental matters.
While acting as a bridge between government, civil society, business and the public, we also strive to catalyze the application of the Convention by raising awareness and building capacity of stakeholders, serving the wider community by providing relevant services to them and contributing to the protection of the right of every person, of present and future generations, to live in an environment adequate to his or her health and wellbeing.
Aarhus Centre Novi Sad is mostly active in the Southern Backa district, Srem District and Southern Banat District and implements all the activities with the support of 3 persons and 5 volunteers.
