Aarhus Information Centre Tirana

The Aarhus Centre in Tirana facilitates access to environmental information and ensures the active participation of NGOs and public in decision-making processes of environmental issues. 

The AIC Tirana performs the following main tasks:

1. Provides information to government bodies, civil society and the public regarding environmental issues;
2. Encourages public participation in environmental decision-making and the right to appeal on environmental issues;
3. Promotes the implementation of the Aarhus Convention;
4. Enhances the capacity of civil society through training on environmental issues.
