There are two Aarhus Centres in Moldova. The first one was inaugurated in the capital city of Chisinau in 2012 which was followed by the opening of a Public Environmental Centre in Bender in 2013 on the left bank of the Dniester/Nistru River. The two Aarhus Centres of Moldova focus on access to environmental information, environmental research and raising awareness about the Aarhus Convention.
