The Centre contributes to the implementation of environmental legislation and Aarhus Convention in practice in North Macedonia.
The Centre contributes to the implementation of environmental legislation and Aarhus Convention in practice in North Macedonia and is involved in:
- meeting with Aarhus network members, Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and local authorities for implementation of the convention as well as other environmental legislation;
- meetingi and networking with Regional Aarhus Centers (Montenegro, Serbia, Albania);
- preparing a Guidance on the obligations for involving CSOs in decision making processes for the national and local authorities;
- supporting the organization of National Strategy Meetings (NSM): every year NSM, has thematic issue in the field of environment protection and climate change. Presenting the establishment of the Aarhus Center and its strategy is great opportunity for discussions to further plans and activities between the network and the Aarhus Centre.
