The Aarhus Centre Shkodra supports and promotes the implementation of the Aarhus Convention in the North of Albania.
The Aarhus Centre Shkodra is a non-profit, non-political organization with the aim to contribute to sustainable development and a healthy environment.
We promote the implementation of the Aarhus Convention by the local government in Northern Albania and offer different services and consultancy in environmental issues to the interested stakeholders (local governments, NGO’s, interested groups, community, business, etc). To fulfil our mission, we put emphasis on cooperation among various stakeholders. This collaboration allows us to have a large impact in society regarding environmental issues. Our activity is concentrated in the North of Albania, although during the years our activities have been extended to the national level.
Our staff is composed of a director, a project assistant, a board of 7 members originating from civil society and state institutions, volunteers and project staff.
