Aarhus Centre Yeghegnadzor
The Aarhus Center Yeghegnadzor supports and promotes the implementation of the Aarhus Convention in Yeghegnadzor and in the Vayots Dzor Province in Armenia.
The goal of the Centre is to enlarge the Aarhus Convention’s implementation, while being in close co-operation with environmental non-governmental organizations and with the Centre in Yerevan.
The main tasks and functions are as follows:
The Centre
- serves as a link between the Regional Government, governmental and non-governmental organizations in the sphere of environmental policy-making and implementation in Armenia;
- promotes co-operation between Vayots Dzor Region environmental organizations and their potential counterparts, such as national, foreign and international NGOs;
- serves as a basis for coalition-building among environmental NGOs of Regional Government.
